Google launches eBook store

Google has launched their own foray into the world of eBooks, with an online store hosting books capable of being read on the web, on your Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, as well as a multitude of ereaders, including the Barnes & Noble Nook, and the Sony device.

But what makes this store different than the now well-known Amazon Kindle book store? To start, over 3 million titles in their database, compared to Amazon's 750,000.

Additionally, Google sets itself apart by allowing the eBooks to be read on the web, while an app of some sort is required for Amazon reading. Your Google eBook library can synced with your Google account for quick access.

So, now the obvious question - what Brian Jacques titles are available, and how do they compare to what Amazon offers? First, Amazon:

Both stores have 11 books each available for download; Amazon has Marlfox, while Google has High Rhulain. Worth noting though, is that the Amazon UK Kindle Store also has High Rhulain. Price-wise there doesn't seem to be any competition at all at this time.
